Discover an exciting quad bike tour in the Alcantara Valley, through off-road routes, dirt trails and spectacular volcanic landscapes at the foot of Mount Etna. A guided experience designed to explore the wildest side of the valley, crossing iconic places such as the Alcantara Gorges, the beautiful Gurne and natural streams.
The route takes place on the north-eastern side of Mount Etna, just a few kilometres from Taormina and Giardini Naxos, and is ideal for anyone looking for a quad bike excursion among nature, fun and unique Sicilian landscapes.

Driving your quad bike, you can enjoy a safe off-road route through nature, water and volcanic scenery. We will ride along the Alcantara River, enter some streams near Francavilla di Sicilia and go up the valley until we reach the dirt roads that from Contrada Gravà lead towards the north-eastern area.
During the quad bike excursion, we will stop at the Gurne dell’Alcantara, natural pools carved into basalt rock by the erosion of the river waterfalls. We will then reach the Zavianni and San Paolo streams, tributaries of the Alcantara River, ideal for a wet and fun section of the route.

Do I need previous experience to drive the quad bike?
No. The tour is also suitable for beginners: before departure, we provide a short briefing with practical instructions and safety advice.
Can passengers join the tour?
Yes. Each quad bike can carry up to 1 passenger.
How long does the tour last?
There are three options available: Basic approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, Medium approximately 2 hours, Premium approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Where is the meeting point?
Departure is from Contrada Gravà – Alcantara Gorges. You will receive precise directions after booking.
What should I wear or bring?
We recommend closed shoes and comfortable or sporty clothing; in summer, sunglasses and water may be useful.
Is a driving licence or minimum age required?
The recommended age is 16–65 years. For driving requirements, licence and documents, we recommend contacting us when booking.
Does the tour take place in any weather?
In case of bad weather or unsuitable conditions, the activity may be rescheduled or cancelled for safety reasons. We will inform you promptly. To plan your day better, you can check the weather forecast for Sicily.
Will I get wet during the route?
It is possible to cross water sections, for example near the Zavianni stream; we therefore recommend suitable clothing.

Interesting facts about the Alcantara Valley
The Alcantara Valley is one of the most fascinating places in eastern Sicily. Its gorges were created by the meeting between Mount Etna’s lava flows and the course of the Alcantara River, which over time carved a natural canyon up to 25 metres deep. The basalt walls, with their spectacular geometric shapes, are the result of the rapid cooling of lava in contact with water: a true geological masterpiece.

Cordiali e super disponibili il Teams ha fatto parecchi video se date loro uno smartphone, consigli anche per muoversi intorno alle gole dell’alcantara… davvero bravi e professionali, il tour di 2:30 ore da la possibilità di fermarsi anche nelle gurne e fare un tuffo nelle cascate con acqua limpida.

Bellissima esperienza.. quad divertenti da guidare e anche il percorso molto bello si passa da sterrato a passare tra le acqua di un fiume fino a vedere una parte del fiume principale con le tipiche pozze scavate nella lava.. esperienza consigliatissima
